Dr. Saurabh Chandra is a dynamic and extensively trained orthopaedic surgeon with more than 14 years of experience. He has performed around 6000 joint replacements and more than 3000 arthroscopic procedures with advanced and high-end orthopaedic techniques. For the last 5 years, he has been performing Computer navigated hip and knee joint replacements with the Stryker NAV-3 computer navigation system.
Dr. Saurabh has attained his MBBS degree from Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, and MS Orthopaedics from the National Institute of Medical Sciences, Jaipur.
Dr. Saurabh’s area of expertise also includes revision arthroplasty, hip and knee preservation procedures, treatment of patients with sickle cell disease where joints are damaged. He is skilled in managing orthopaedic emergencies and cases of polytrauma, fracture management, soft tissue injuries, septic arthritis, and osteomyelitis. He has a special interest in reconstructive tumor surgery and musculoskeletal problems in post-polio and cerebral palsy. He also operates on teenagers with problems like hip dysplasia, when the hip doesn’t fit properly into the socket or slipped capital femoral epiphysis(SCFE) when the growth plate slips off the end of the thigh bone.
He developed an interest in knee and shoulder arthroscopic procedures and sports injuries as well as complex joint replacements of hips and knees. He worked in the arthroplasty and arthroscopy unit of a renowned hospital. Thereafter, he worked with another prestigious healthcare institution where he handled more than100 joint replacement procedures of varying complexities every month, thus giving him immense experience in the field.
He has been associated with several Delhi Government hospitals with a large amount of trauma case load. He continues to expand his skills and knowledge in order to offer his patients the very best with all humility.
